I really want to start watching this show but 4oD don't keep the episodes on their website - the DVD isn't out until October :(

OneTreeHillFan 01-05-2012 12:31

I cannot wait until Sunday! No clue what's going to happen.

I thought she was about to announce she was pregnant in the episode that aired on Sunday, the way she said "I'm" then took a slight pause and said "Happy" I think some people may have thought she was going to announce she was pregnant.

I'm SO glad that it didn't take that path.

There is no spoiler in what Ads said. It's bogus. Is this considered a spoiler? :D

Apologies all! I haven't seen the finale but read a comment on the Guardian blog talking about it, and I assumed it was something I had missed earlier in the season :o

Am a bit embarrassed as I am really anti spoilers on these threads

Squiggle 01-05-2012 23:49

Ads don't worry about it. It actually made for a good discussion or should I say, theories. ;)

StargateNerd_24 02-05-2012 00:47

Great ep, can't wait for next week now.

Just had an American friend spoil it before I could shut him up.

Will still watch it though as he didn't tell me everything

If you are referring to the post directly above yours in spoiler tags, there was no reason for that person to use spoiler tags at all. There wasn't anything that could even be remotely construed as a spoiler.

gomezz 03-05-2012 11:21

That is irrelevant. The use of spoiler tags to hide even innocent content is very discourteous in a No Spoilers thread.

Is Dana the daughter?
She'd been off my radar until the last episode - I do not know (nor want to know) how it ends but one of my theories is that Brody's daughter has been radicalised and is much more involved than we knew.
Why else video your father, be very curious about the 'package' (surely most teenagers would have just left it when he said it was a surprise for her mother?) and then obsess about his behaviour with her boyfriend?

I also don't think that the vest is for Brody to wear..........

These are NOT spoilers as I have no clue about what actually does happen

wrighty694 03-05-2012 13:55

....so at the end of Sunday's episode they give us advance notice that they're playing a teaser for next weeks finale.....my good lady and i both decide that we don't want to see this so we turn over to another channel.

......then C4 play a long and pretty detailed advert every pigging chance they get for this weeks episode.....it's a good job i'm not a Bolliockes fan :D

yours, hoping that secrets can be kept these days....wrighty

Because he became part of that family for a couple of years and saw how the American government had killed so many innocent people including Isa, and he is now going to blow himself and others up, because this is the only thing he now believes in, as conditioned by Abu Nazir. That's what the show is trying to say, right?

He's basically sacrificing himself for someone else's son. I just keep wondering about his family, especially his daughter. He must love them, or has this all been an act; does he feel that disconnected to them, that he readily agreed to do this? Is it because he's been turned or is it because he's been so disaffected and disillusioned by the war and his eight years worth of experience as a part of it, that this is the only reaction that he has to have to rationalise what's happened to him.

As you can see, I'm just really confused as to why Brody has decided to do this!

See my previous post - I think it's way too obvious that Brody is the intended suicide bomber or that he is even a baddie.......

Not quite. The last episode is 84 minutes without ads. The preceding episodes were all 50 to 58 minutes in length without ads. So a lot of extra time but not a 100 minutes to 118 minutes.

I've heard of shows having movie-length first eps, but this
is the first time I've heard of a show having a near-movie
length season finale.

Hackney1 05-05-2012 23:30

Sky Arts1 are starting to show the original Israeli series "Prisoners of War" on which Homeland is based- Thursday at 9 or 9.30pm. I've set it to record - something to watch after tomorrow's finale :)

What I can't believe is that Channel 4 are actually showing an Advert for a frigging Advert, do we really need ads for other ads.
