Mrs Brown starring Judi Dench
It's on next week as there is a documentary about Queen Victoria, i will look forward to it, i hear it is good
Its a lovely film and Judi Dench is amazing in it - she was nominated for an Oscar for her performance (and was robbed!)
What channel is it on? I'd love to see it :)
I can't watch it without thinking about Dench's quote along the lines of "If Billy Connolly had his way it would be Bob Hoskins in this role instead of me".
I'd love to see Dame Judy playing a different Mrs Brown...!
That's nice...! |

Does anyone know of any other Victoria movies that are good? Especially the latter years of her life as they interest me, her loneliness makes me feel sad |

Unless you've seen the show, you probably wouldn't have got that joke! |
Does anybody know which night Mrs Brown will be on? I can't seem to find any information about it.
It's a rather good film and I was particularly struck by Billy Connolly's performance. I think he should do more straight acting myself. :) |
She was good, but I couldn't really believe in the Connolly character
i thought it was a lovely film, very well acted, Judi Dench was simply fabulous as Queen Victoria & surprisingly Billy Connolly was very good as Mr Brown
Great movie.
 I had visions of another version of Mrs Brown's Boys:eek:
Brilliant film. Saw it back in the summer
From what i read, critics and movie lovers still say to this day that this should of been the film that she should of won the oscar for, not her 8 minute average performance in Shakespeare in love Billy Connolly surprised me, lovely performance. |

Even Helen Hunt inferred in her Oscar speech Judi Dench should have won. Her Oscar for Shakespeare in love was compensation for missing out before. Though as always that meant someone else missed out who was equally deserving.
