RIP - Ted Moult

I don't know if there is already a thread but I've just read that Ted Moult from Calander Countdown has committed suicide.

I always assumed he was still alive, until I was told otherwise tonight.

RIP.

OMG! He died in 1986.....!!! Unlikely they'll be an ongoing thread :eek::eek:

Funnily enough, I mentioned him last week to my OH and he looked it up on Wiki.

Confused about this thread because Ted Moult died years ago. I think he shot himself.

2shy2007 22-06-2012 21:27

Huh?? that was blooming years ago he topped himself.

madeleymade 22-06-2012 21:29

Yeh, I don't get it! I'm a local man, a local shop is run!

davidlees 22-06-2012 21:33

Show a bit of respect. A man has died. Countdown won't be the same without him.

Yes, it was 26 years ago. Wasn't he the original "celebrity" who did adverts for Everest Windows?

Leicester_Hunk 22-06-2012 23:33

Sorry I have no idea who he is and I have never heard of him or seen the double glazing adverts but it's a bit confusing why it has come up now after all this time

I'm so tempted to do the dark humoured gag that was doing the rounds at the time, but it would probably just get me a holiday, so I won't.
