Yay, can't wait to see Charlie Brooker again! :D

Trappedin80's 10-01-2013 00:16

I'm looking forward to more regular Wipes, again.

iamsofired 10-01-2013 00:21

Oh nice,

grimtales1 10-01-2013 11:25

Will definitely remember to record this :D

f_196 10-01-2013 13:00

The use of "studio" has got my back up a little.

I hope it's not some god awful mash of 'Wipe and his dreadful Ch4 panel-series (the other one - not 10 O Clock Live).

"You Have Been Watching", I think it was called. It does sound similar, doesn't it?

Shrike 10-01-2013 14:42

Looking on the brightside, we'll still be getting Doug Stanhope, Barry Shitpeas and new girl Philomena Cunk.
:D

Confirmed by Radio Times now but seems to be on at 10pm rather than 9pm.

I was really looking forward to this until I read this bit.....

I don't want celebrity guests. I just want the perfect format that's worked so well so far. If it ain't broke then don't fix it. Celebrity guests don't just somehow make something better. Which is what most TV people appear to think.

Straker 30-01-2013 18:16

I get the feeling it was the promotion to BBC2 and a bit more dosh that secured another regular series rather than any artistic impetus from Brooker. I doubt wed be seeing another full run if BBC4 had been the proposed home for it.

I know the misanthropic delivery on the trail is supposed to be the joke but I wonder how much of that is true considering hes moved on somewhat from Wipe these last few years to more lofty writing gigs?

Appear to think.

Yes that's what these good-for-nothing meddlers are trying to do, "appear to think" so as to justify their unnecessary, most often ruinous, "jobs".

...

Everything was just fine with him sat on the couch every once in a while just ripping a dreadful and idiotic mass-"culture" to shreds.

DarthFader 31-01-2013 21:18

Great it is in HD this time :)

Stephen_Simpson 31-01-2013 21:37

Where the hell was the promotion for this ? I literally just found out about this. Not happy BBC.

Murraymar 31-01-2013 21:37

Oh dear, so I guess he's going for a 'You Have Been Watching'- style show again then. Not that there was anything THAT bad with that. It's just that, like you say, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I was looking forward to seeing Charlie sat on his sofa putting the world to rights like in Screenwipe/Newswipe. Hmm, I hope this turns out alright, but the celebrity guests thing has put a few doubts into my mind.

SallyArmy 31-01-2013 21:41

Looking forward to this!:)

degsyhufc 31-01-2013 21:41

Saw the promo earlier and it was him sat on the couch having a mini moan.

alcockell 31-01-2013 22:10

Tearing into Splash - hopefully he'll tear into the BBC bllocks as well..

koantemplation 31-01-2013 22:12

I can't believe Splash was originally a foreign TV show.

Can't ITV do anything original?

SallyArmy 31-01-2013 22:13

Splash getting the Brooker treatment!:eek::D

fleet 31-01-2013 22:13

I dont like these actors they have on that are supposed to be commentators.
