PVR wifi dongles

Can anybody tell me if it's possible to record on a PVR from iPlayer using a dongle? Or is it only possible to watch streaming TV?
I have a Humax HDR Fox T2

You cant record from BBC iPlayer, only watch.

Except on the Sky, PC and iPad implementations!

True with the standard firmware but the custom firmware allows you to save iPlayer recordings on the HDR but not the HD.

Well considering the OP was asking about the Humax box and this is the Humax thread...I was right...

Suspect everyone is now totally confused. The custom firmware for the HDR FOX T2 allows you to save any content in the streaming buffer (including iplayer in HD) to a mpeg4 file (.mp4) in the media list. You just have to wait till the total content is in the buffer. With my broadband a 1hr programme from iplayer HD takes about 30 minutes to be complete.

Thanks Graham, that makes it clearer. How do you get the custom firmware though?

Great, thanks. I'm new to this and didn't realise you could add all that stuff.
