I'd no idea he was 87.

RIP Norman.

Don't think he could have got away with this today though.

A comedian from my childhood, and my home town. He'll be missed. :(

tangsman 15-03-2013 16:26

The first time I saw Norman on TV do the faulty mic routine it had me in stitches. RIP Norman and thanks for the laughs.

I loved the winding down of the window routine the first time I saw it as well - I thought it was so funny, and still brings a smile to my face when I think about it.

RIP Norman. Saw him at Blackpool. Hilarious routine. Think that was the only routine he had, made a whole career out of it. Just the winding window down on car and the faulty mic! Didnt tell jokes i dont think...

Dean Dare 15-03-2013 18:03

Very sad, not a bad age considering though

konebyvax 15-03-2013 18:13

Just seen Billy Pearce saying on Calendar News that he never heard anyone in show business say a bad word about him and I can totally believe that.

Pink Knight 15-03-2013 20:02

I had to listen to the announcement twice on the radio as I missed abit the first time.

Lucy Lou 15-03-2013 20:23

Norman used to really make me laugh with his window thing.
On the radio today they played a recording of him with the faulty mike and even though I have heard the gag countless times I was in stitches again.
RIP Norman.

Gusto Brunt 16-03-2013 17:51

I didn't think he was 87. He carried his age well. RIP.

Bungitin 16-03-2013 20:39

Perhaps his eulogy should be delivered through a faulty mic.
