Alicia Douvall - I spent 1 million on cosmetic surgery

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/ar...reatments.html

And she thinks someone should have stopped her as she was unwell.

She does have a point that the cosmetic surgery industry has a duty of care to ensure that people are not having surgery for the wrong reasons but she's a grown woman who made her own choices.

The biggest question is where the hell did she get 1 million from in the first place?

Surely there are regulations stopping someone for having unnecessary operation less than a week apart?

Heidi Montag had 10 operations in one day so it's possible

When I read the article I just shook my head, she is one of them Chantelle types, do and say anything to get her name out there. Yes I agree she should never have had all those surgeries but she decided to. I'm sure on that documentary not too long ago her daughter tried to talk her out of surgery. Alicia went ahead anyway and left her teenage daughter, who was studying for A'Levels looking after her new baby sister. I felt really sad for the older daughter and Papaya watching that:(

LaceyLouelle3 24-03-2013 02:22

And she looks awful...waste of money much!?

Microkorg 24-03-2013 05:01

I wouldn't feel sad for either of them, the daughter was quite happy to go along with her own 'boob job' story and happily pose with mum looking sullen.

It's like the Mail has a deal with this family to wheel them out every 6 months with a story to boost their finances.

But that's America. I hope other countries were more sensible. It really should be allowed. There needs to be at least 6 months to a year between these not medically needed procedures. Might have stopped Montag's regrets.

The Surgery has done her no good, she looks awfull.

AdelaideGirl 24-03-2013 08:27

We had a thread a month or so ago trying to work out if there were any celebs who looked good after surgery.

It was a short list - mostly those who'd had broken noses straightened, ears pined back and stuff but stopped after one procedure.

muddipaws 24-03-2013 08:41

It was a waste of money if that's the result she has, not a good look

EVILSPEAK 24-03-2013 08:49

Wow, 16 operations on her breasts? Bet they look like she's been attacked by Freddy Krueger they're so badly scarred. And it was a waste of money, she's not exactly what I would call attractive. Silly woman.

That was my first, second and third thought!

She was such a pretty girl before she had the ops, and her daughter is such a lovely, well balanced young woman. Shhame her mother is/was so self centred, but at least she seems to be taking steps to help herself. However much you dislike her, you have to remember she has BDD - a mental illness.

She is another one from the Chantelle school of attention seeking and saying anything to get into the papers. Why the hell is she famous does anyone know?

Kiss and telling. I think her first one was someone like Dwight Yorke or Simply Red.

Tragically, she went downhill from there!

Isleepinthebuff 24-03-2013 11:05

Read the story and half way through got completely distracted by the fact Bernie Nolan is in a hospice. Perhaps that waste of space Douvall could realise how lucky she is and start enjoying her life, as others might be losing theirs

stvn758 24-03-2013 14:31

How many times does this woman have to tell us this, like a warped record.

Mr Dangerous 24-03-2013 15:12

Trouble is she will need to maintain herself so more millions will be needed...Talk about a high maintenance woman...

lyndalahughes 24-03-2013 15:14

Her daughter seems to have been 17 for a long time.

Emmersonne 24-03-2013 17:31

I am very glad that my one trip to a cosmetic surgery consultation ended with a referral to an ED specialist and a stern word that cosmetic surgery would solve nothing for me and no scrupulous surgeon would do it.

That was 5 years ago - very thankful to the Doctor that said "no".

That's so her mother can continue to be 34. ;)

A few questions :-

1. How has Douvall earned a million quid to spend on cosmetic surgery.

2. She's had countless nose operations and it still looks like that?

3. Anyone noticed that Body Dysmorphia Syndrome has become the new Polycystic Ovary and Bi Polar bandwagon jump for zelebs recently?

1. Not sure but I assume it's to do with rich ex's, she seems to target a certain type of wealthy man (with the exception of Gaffney:D)

3. Yes and I couldn't help but think if her modelling etc had been more successful we wouldn't be hearing this tale of woe

Leicester_Hunk 24-03-2013 18:54

Mick Hucknall will be wetting himself at this!
