Tried & tested cherry almond cake recipes?
Preferably with fool proof tips to stop the cherries sinking! I know that you need to wash off the glace and make sure they're fully dry (by coating in flour if needs be), but the consistency of the batter seems to play a role too? I'd really like to use whole cherries if possible, but if I have to chop them to get consistent results then so be it :)
Does anyone have a family fav recipe that never fails?

Heyho I'm going to try the Be-ro almond madeira cake recipe and then if that fails I might try the thin layer of marzipan in the middle trick :)
