From a "Spoiled" viewer

I haven't seen the new series, but have been following along via the posts. I don't mind being "spoiled" - doesn't change my enjoyment of the show when I do get to see it.

I'm disappointed by what...

Many thanks PoorRichard54.

I'm still here. Still learning from all the thoughtful analysis on this wonderful board...and still waiting with bated breath for the new episodes of Doc Martin.

I've been thinking about Martin Clune's remark that cohabitation in Series 6 has "disaster written all over it."

No question that there is locker room talk and bravado all the time.

BUT, in this case, DM knew how vulnerable Mark felt. Locker room banter works when it's two guys giving and getting in equal...

Amen and Amen.

Too many of my favorite shows have traded believability for another season. It's a lose-lose as far as I'm concerned.

Fingers crossed that Doc Martin doesn't succumb to that.

I agree.

Here's my problem. I thought the Doc Martin I saw in Series 1, even though I hated any episode with Elaine, had charm, disdain, vulnerability, arrogance, humor, lack of humor -- was, in...

Was this a hint?

"Im thrilled to be going back to the beautiful North Cornish coast to shoot series six of Doc Martin," said Martin. "Our challenge this season will be to force Louisa and the doctor to live together...

Thanks for the info and yes, it makes me uncomfortable too. If he is going to include it, could there be one character who is kind about it, or even Martin himself making a comment about the pain he...

Martin's Childhood

I liked Aunt Joan; Love Aunt Ruth.

But it strikes me that both of these relatives make frequent comments on Martin's childhood bedwetting. Certainly Ruth should know that it wasn't by choice or...

Question on Paternity

In the throes of an argument, she is often inarticulate, even when her heart is in the right place. She sputters -and so does he. For...

I had a couple more thoughts on Haemophobia.

1. The admission Martin makes in the ambulance is the first time (maybe only time) that he speaks so directly from his heart to Louisa. It's...
