Sky don't release updates daily, there is usually one batch per week, on some occasions they will do DRX595s on one day and the DRX89*s on another, I've never seen the same model updated twice a week...

Maybe they have not spent enough time on preparing their software to work fully with Win8 :(

Panda Cloud is certified for Win8 and Windows Defender works for me.

Yes it will do that :) Anyhow there is only a rather slim chance that you box was actually sent the update so you cannot be sure you missed anything yet.

IIRC there is a complication with the callback validation of the update, the beta tester have discussed the issue with the Sky dev team so they do know about users views on the update process.
