I haven't had a substantial reply from C4, just one asking for the same info again and then another one saying it was passed to the engineering team.

However, when I checked at around midday today...

Yes I noticed the lack of interest!

Don't think it is bitrate - more likely to be a "press red" or connected service added to some of the channels which upsets some Humax boxes.

As the majority of the channels affected belong to Channel 4 or are shopping channels, and given Arqiva tells you to contact the broadcaster with problems - I've contacted Channel 4 to see if they...

I missed out E4+1 also displays this problem on my set-up, as do most shopping type channels (all on Arqiva muxes). I have no idea whether any of the late-night channels do this.

New 9150 aspect ratio problem on Arqiva muxes (4:3 tv)

My 9150 is connected to an old 4:3 set, with the 9150 set to 16:9 letterbox mode.
Normally all 16:9 progs are displayed as you would expect.
This week, various channels behave in an odd way. If I...

How does this save money?
The programmes and rights still have to be produced/paid for even for an on-line only channel. Unless the bandwidth for BBC3 is sold to another broadcaster it will be idle,...

"+1" channels are not an ideal use of the bandwidth, but IF there are no other bidders for the space, why not? Whilst not a big fan of them, I do find them useful even though I do use a PVR.

Perhaps...

Which is why, of course, I'm one of the few people in favour of the BBC continuing* to provide radio on Freeview, mainly in stereo and using "better than DAB" bitrates.
(* excluding Scotland - where...

Near Edwalton, my Humax is giving a signal strength of 56% and quality of 100% (although this varies 50%-100%). Strength has dropped to 16% on one occasion. BBC strength 75%, quality 100%.
Very...

No thanks! I'll keep mine until it stops working. Then I might consider a small, cheap(ish) LCD.

On the original topic. It would seem to me that the only circumstances in which a BW licence would...

On BBC4 you don't usually need to do this as the early hours output is a repeat of some of the 7pm-midnight programmes.

Or, put another way, BBC4 doesn't have the budget to broadcast more than about...

In the event that you are watching a channel that has no 2nd audio channel, you could try a slow motion playback through the skipping point. You wont get any sound or subtitles though.

1) If you haven't got a DVB-T2 capable box then BBC1 may be on 101 (say) in SD - confusing.

2) If SCART phased out, even a T2 box can't be used with an older TV -> more expense for people who can't...

Well, my "vote" on this is with Sue_Aitch. Might not use the word "like" about SD - but there is a trade-off between choice of channels and picture quality. I would prefer choice at SD rather than a...

This sounds very similar to a problem I had with a 9150T.
The only solution that worked for me was to re-format the disk. Don't know whether there is any alternative for a 9200.

This sounds more like interference.

Just a note of caution. I've got the aerial routed into my 9150 and then out to a PC dongle. I've had freezes and jumps on the Humax (live), but no reported...

I'm getting a 50% signal strength and no signal quality on UHF ch 27. I'm assuming it might be the transmission you refer to. But without any signal quality I can't be sure.
