Thanks for inputs so far. I would think someone has to suffer from insomnia or be a night worker to want to expressly listen to radio during the time when 'normal' folk are asleep.

The trouble is that Judge Rinder is a windbag and spouts on for far too long. Brevity certainly isn't his byword unlike JJ, who gets to the nub of things so quickly and keeps the show going at a pace.
