thanks, think that was where I was going wrong with coffee cupcakes/sponge - using too much water then needing to add more granules to get the flavour. Sounds like a sensible approach of 1tsp w/water...

To me, there's always a slight metallic taste...

To me, there's always a slight metallic taste when beer is drunk from a tin or even poured into a glass from a tin so I tend to stick to bottled or draught.
