I was told by Sky that the HD mix had to be a min of 12 months at a time, whereas other mixes can be up/down-graded every month.

Doesn't necessary mean the statement is correct though.

Same here. I could only put the reminder in for the programme, not record. Only tried the HD showing, not SD.

The green 'remind me' system has previously allowed me to record programmes over a week...
