To be honest, I can't see that happening for a long time yet. BBC1 is the flagship channel, so it makes sense to have full news programmes on even if there is access to a full time news channel.

With the temporary HD MUX at SC being on low power, I doubt very much you'd get a signal that far away. Also, the HD channels will not show up at all on an SD only box - the box won't recognise them.
