Eurovision had 5.27m from 8pm-9.15pm. Obviously with it being a very similar thing to BGT there will have been significant audience crossover but there are clearly other factors at play - the bank...

That 16.5m peak is wrong.

10pm-10.15pm averaged 6.4m, the following 15 minutes held onto 6.2m.

If any given 3 minutes in that first 15 minutes averaged 16.5m that implies the other 12 minutes of...

4.0, 4.3, 4.6, 5.9

Including +1, Ninja Warrior averaged 4.85m. Even without BGT I think it would probably be doing 4.4m-4.5m average so it's definitely a success for ITV.

Obviously a lot depends...

No channel is primarily about viewers although they all care about viewers as a means to an end. They're all about self interest and ITV's main self interest has always been money.

But that's not...

Tomorrow People and The 100 are very different shows though - the kind of things that tend to do well here. While E4 has shown many glitzy, soapy US dramas in its time, the truth is that even stuff...

(3.8m > 4.3m > 4.4m > 5.8m)

Still, considering some of...

I should really be running Channel 4. :p

A sensible move though (although I'd have got rid of formats and music as well). Seems like they're slimming down the entire entertainment commissioning...

I see today that Channel 4's Head of Entertainment has "moved on". That role seems to be so narrow and there are remarkably few commissions considering they have as many Com Eds for entertainment as...

Average for the week was 76,000 (1.6%).

High of 99,500 (1.9%) on Monday and low of 62,300 (1.3%) on Tuesday.

So I suppose the answer is a resounding no! :)
