From what I remember (although I admit I haven't checked the re-issued numbers for any Forever adjustments) the second episode of Forever was up on the first in the US. At least in the demo. The drop...

Agents of SHIELD will potentially provide a good test case for how likely Gotham is to win back audiences (assuming it'll need to). If the US numbers are anything to go by those aren't going to be...

Well that's not quite what I'd expected. The gains on the BBC then effectively offset the loses Downton has seen. Interesting that BBC2 is doing so much better year-on-year. That slipped under the...

That's possible I suppose and I'd agree commissioning another short run to air away from Gogglebox to see what happens maybe isn't the worst idea in the world. I actually much prefer it to Gogglebox...

Watching some of The Kitchen for the first time tonight and I'm amazed this hasn't rated better.

That's not entirely true though is it. Certainly the BBC aren't in competition for ad money but...

It is rather odd particularly given that the US versions of these shows are just flooded with it.

That's not overly surprising though given how poorly the last season was received and the numbers...

Just noticed that The Sewing Bee is getting a celebrity/Children in Need special on BBC2. That's an interesting choice.

The overarching point is just more of the same though isn't.

Despite what...

How much use is The X Factor making of product placement these days? I'm still amazed that there isn't more overt sponsorship happening with both it and Britain's Got Talent.

Its potentially an interesting few months ahead for EastEnders ratings. The show traditionally does well at Christmas and New Year and coming off that it'll presumably have the momentum of building...

I can't see it being repeated on ITV or ITV3 that rather defeats the purpose of Encore. When I said it would get repeated endlessly I meant on Encore. I assume it'll get 3 or 4 airings across the...

Strictly's dance off is an odd beast.

You can see why they want it because the sing off works so well on The X Factor and indeed worked really well on the BBC's Lloyd Webber shows but it just hasn't...

On a somewhat related note, who on earth booked the hosts for this series? Its an utterly bizarre collection of people. They should probably go back to the drawing board on host selection next year.
