I used to get a Tesco Lighter Choices (I think) chicken and broccoli pie (Potato top) every week with my mums shopping when I lived at home. I've not had one in years, but it used to be lovely!

Yep, that's the very one - except I got the crunchy one. I've just been spooning it out the jar but I had some on a warm pancake today (and then mixed some into the pancake batter) and it was superb!

I find that stew often takes a few hours in a low oven to be really soft and tender. I know this might sound rubbish, as you feel let down by the quality, but maybe try it again leaving it to cook...

M&S ones are great if memory serves, but to be honest, my favourites are Birds Eye cheapos. Can't beat them in a roll with some cheese and burger sauce!!
