I personally love the BBC's programming and choice and think the licence fee is fantastic value, but if you don't like what the BBC provide then I can see how frustrating it would be.

You're right, it could be shown in a worse resolution, shown in 4:3/whatever but the technology is there so why not use it?

Will Skins USA be shown in the UK?

It's starting next month on MTV in the US, but I'm hoping it'll be shown here as well.

Do you think MTV UK/E4...

What on Earth are you talking about, "limiting news to HD viewers"?

If BBC News HD launched then they clearly would not scrap the standard definition version.

That's a really interesting article, actually. I hadn't thought about it but I definitely DO pay more attention to ads with Sky+ (even if they're at x12) than without.

I think it's silly to suggest that older people don't care about HD. My parents are in their 50s and are really keen, and my 80 year old grandmother asked me the other day how she could "get this...

I think they could have considered scrapping BBC Parliament, but even then I don't...

Or is it online anywhere? Thanks.

Because if I watch it with no overscan, then surely I get a slightly higher resolution?

But then things like DOGs, graphics...
