The White Queen rating is well under par, IMO. Yes, it's summer, but there was still an audience of 23.5m in the slot and the share was also below average, despite weak competition. Speaking of...

I'd guess The Voice at the moment, it's in the early burst period where everyone is buying it and it's generally doing well (better than in the UK!). Although Got Talent is still bigger I think -...

While it's nice that this girl has had a top 10 single, it's by no means a vindication of The Voice as a platform for talent. God knows how many X Factor acts would have had top 10's mid-series if...

Speaking of entertainment series... a couple of ITV shows seem to have gone missing.

I'm pretty sure that's not the case. How many BBC formats have managed the ratings The Voice has done this year? It's obviously not performing as well as it should be. But the alternatives aren't...

A return to respectability for The Voice last night and a predictably miserable night for ITV now that BGT is over.

It depends on the number of hours produced. But yes, The Voice was a massive...

Or maybe it'll be as successful as Wipeout...

The clip made me laugh. It's a really nice idea. But I think it might be a great feature on a bigger show rather than a whole show in itself.

Even for Tuesdays that is pretty grim. Looks like 8% is roughly where ITV bottoms out. Any of those programmes could be on digital channels getting 0. something % share.

Off the top of my head, BB3 (2002) averaged 5.8m. BB5 had 5.1m, BB7 had 4.7m, 4 & 6 had 4.6m, 1 & 2 had 4.5m.

Then BB8 dropped to 3.9m, BB9 down to 3.6m. BB10 went through the floor to about 2.5m,...

Not that it matters for HBO but it got a 2.9 rating in the demo, a number that the broadcast nets would kill for (despite having 3 times as many potential viewers).

It's good of them to just keep that plan quiet for the past 7 years!

DOI still rates relatively well - ITV think so too because they've given it another series. But they're obviously betting that,...

Because once X Factor was announced, Idol lowered its age limit to 16 and X Factor has always made the point that it is open to a wider range. So they dropped it to 12.

One option for ITV is to do BGT auditions later (they're only in January because Cowell used to go to the US in February). That would free up Ant & Dec to do Takeaway in January if they wanted and...
