I said exactly the same to Hubby "Is that a syrup????"
I've never noticed before but it looked decidedly dodgy at the back - he needs to go & see Brucies barber/groomer, cos his is a good one (allegedly).
I think it is time for him to retire gracefully, he was a very good performer in his day, but to my mind his performance has never really changed. I know there are great singers older than him (Andy Williams and Tony Bennet for example) but they developed their own sense of style and can still carry it off.
you do all realise that you are putting yourselves in serious jeopardy by dissing Sir Cliff?!! He has an army of fans (many of whom carry very heavy handbags) and they are a scary bunch. I'm warning you all for your own protection.

You can say that again. My friends nearly got laid out by some of them at the VE Day concert. But they stood their ground in the front row!
I'm a huge Cliff fan and I'd just like to say that he was not wearing a wig - his hair always looks like that!
Also he was not miming. I have the single of When I Need You and it sounds very different to how he sang it tonight.
I thought Cliff was excellent. He sang beautifully, and I love that he interacts with the dancers whenever he is on SCD.
For a 67 year old - he is amazing.
Why should he retire when he has an army of fans who love what he does. He still packs out arenas selling out in days. His concerts are legendary - two and a half hours of the best music, musicians, dancers and Cliff! His energy on stage is unbelievable for a man of his age.
Keep going Cliff - we love you!
And Well Done to Gethin - I'm so pleased he's in the final - fingers crossed he wins!
My husband asked the same question when Cliff was on the Paul O'Grady show last week. I'm not sure if he is wearing a syrup or not but I believe he has said in the past that he does have botox injections!!
I think he is, and always was a great performer, though I was never a particular fan. Apart from playing to his loyal fans and reliving the 'golden years' perhaps he now ought to go out with style, unless he changes his style.
He's still performing as he did decades ago but he so much more mature now and maybe should start to age 'gracefully' and perhaps match his performance to that.

lmao!

Apologies Skeletor (he's not real y'know). :D
And he was miming! Give up Cliff - it is painful.
Respect LOL

I think he could be great at that.
'Syrup of fig' = wig. Looks like he's drinking it as well !
