Resetting BT Vision powerline adapters

After a long session of reconfiguring my BT Vision powerline adapters and resetting the ID security I have learned the following vital facts:

1. The config/reset buttons have to be pushed deep with your fingernail or a thin blunt probe. The button beneath the skin is two-stage. The first stage will make the light flash but not do the job, a fact that you find out too late.

2. The fact that you have a red light some time later after resinatllation installation may be quite meaningless. It does not indicate that high speed data transfer is impossible. I had red lights on both till I started an on-demand film download, then they went to green and stayed there while the film streamed in perfectly.

3 If the manual had not said that a red light indicates a wrong setup, and this had not occurred after I had switched on again after a power cut, I would not have wasted a day on this problem.

4. To reset the ID security press config buttons on the two adapters simultaneously and release when flashing stops. Wait till green status on both and the AP light on one are steady and replace with the AP light next to the hub.
