The Ending is good in the way the final no-win sacrifice was made and the cycles stopped - this is the only way it could go. Life doesn't always have "happy" endings.
The ME3 ending is emotional and epic - but we all need to realise it is a ending.
You could have a very forgettable "Boom- yeah we all won - the end" but that to me wouldn't be as acceptable or memorable.
However there are loose ends and VERY confusing shots like the loss of Mass Relays, Normandy crash scene and Grandfather+Child scene. Even the shot of a surviving person/Sheppard. - wtf is all that about ? ? ?
Thats what's making things worse - not Sheppard's ultimate heroic sacrifice.
I really cant see them putting this ending out after such a excellent game up until the point of the light lift. With so many unanswered questions and holes unless it was intentional.
It may be leaving all the doors open for ME4
That is very dependent on things. Firstly what ending you got, If you got good ending then Shepard was indeed alive.
