The TV programs listed here have not been cancelled yet but are very vulnerable. LINK
Of all the scripted TV shows (including Network & Cable TV), AMC "The Walking Dead" is the most watched out of all the channels. NFL football is absolute king in the US.
The following are the TV Network shows (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC) that are struggling. Their future is not looking good:
ABC
Don’t Trust The Bitch In Apt. 23
Last Resort
Happy Endings
666 Park Avenue
CBS
Vegas
The Mentalist
The Good Wife
Partners
*"Hawaii Five-O" is getting killed by "Revolution" but it appears to be safe for now thanks to its large international fan base. "Vegas" is not doing as well as expected but may be safe only because of star Dennis Quaid. I don't think CBS wants to lose him.*
CW
Emily Owens
Nikita
FOX
Mob Doctor
Ben & Kate
The Mindy Project
*The X-Factor is doing poorly but it has already been renewed for another season. I wouldn't be surprised if it was cancelled after that.*
NBC
Guys With Kids
Up All Night
Chicago Fire
I haven't watched ANY of these TV shows except for 1 episode of "Park Avenue". I didn't care for it at all. Some of these programs I never even heard of (Guys with kids, Up all Night, Mob Doctor, Ben & Kate, Emily Owens, Partners, Don't Trust..., Happy Endings"). I was interested in "Last Resort" but never got around to watching any of the episodes.

I've only seen the first episode of Chicago Fire but I liked it - remained me of Trauma which was also cancelled after just one season
H50 is safe because CBS has already reached a syndication deal and a minimum of 88 episodes (4 network/8 cable seasons) are required for successful syndication
In the current fevered climate, this show sounds unintentionally dodgy!
I wouldn't expect The Good Wife to be in danger. It's consistently the best scripted show on network TV, is attracting some top grade guest stars and must have very attractive demographics for advertisers.
Nope, it's sucking for CBS. It seems critical acclaim doesn't pay the bills, neither does it attract viewers apparently...
It's pulling around the same numbers as the 2nd half of the previous season, between 9 to 10m. They're not at the heights of season 1 (13-14m) but I expect that's good enough for CBS.
Nobody is discussing international fanbase. The OP's list is based on ratings in the US, not around the world.
Only things I can think doing well for their channels (at the top of my head) would be Modern Family, The Voice, Arrow, Once Upon a Time, The Walking Dead and The Big Bang Theory.
However I think Big Bang is the best rated scripted show on USTV, yes? And the best rated show excluding events such as Super bowls, other sports and American ldol.
Arrow is currently my 2nd fave show of the moment, behind Big Bang Theory, it could surpass it soon. I love the show.
BIB 2 - Yes, that's kinda what "best rated scripted show" means.
Lol, I mean with The Voice and shows like that, BBT still beats them. Don't think they are scripted shows... as much as people would believe they are
But yes, what I mean is best rated excludubf sport or AI
For me, the shows which need to be worried are the new shows and those on the brink last year that are struggling this year: Nikita,
I can't see: The Mentalist, The Good Wife or Happy Endings being in trouble come renewal time.
I imagine competing against The Walking Dead, doesn't do The Mentalist any favours either.
The Mentalist doesn't compete against The Walking Dead. It is on an hour later.
I know what you meant.
It's just you said "best rated scripted" and "best rated other than AI etc", when that's what best scripted means, excluding all reality, sports etc.
I can't believe Last Resort is doing so badly though, I really like it a lot, though in all honesty I can't see how they could keep the story going any longer than one season... like a lot of shows (Ringer from last year especially), the story seems more suitable for a movie than an ongoing series...
