Sacha Baron Cohen was useless. They should have gone for Alun Armstrong even though he doesn't have the star name in the US like Sacha.
Alun Armstrong was magnificent, Sacha is just different

Russel Crowe is out of his depth it would seem, and hes aware of it.
Russel Crowe was good, a good Javert but he's singing is very distinctive. He can sing but I do understand what some mean.
The problem with Crowe is that we have heard far too many better Javerts and comparisons are unavoidable.

The scene where
was touching and I think despite his quest to bring Vajean to justice, he's not a bad person.
Not a bad person. Just a bit obsessed with people who steal bread

Anyway, it's a great film and I really enjoyed it.
