Why should someone else tell her when to stop? She is an adult and now looking to put the blame onto someone else.
What she's saying is surgeons should be advising people on their operations and not blindly going ahead just because the patient wants it.

To be fair to her, she does blame herself, so she's not exactly negating personal responsibility for her plight.

She adds: ‘I hold myself responsible, but the doctors who agreed to operate on me when I was clearly not well have a lot to answer for.
'Now I know the problem wasn’t with my breasts or nose, but how I saw myself. But they always agreed that they could improve me.'
