I enjoy these particular pieces of classical music:

Prokofiev - Troika/Romance (from Lieutenant Kije Suite, Op. 60):

Saint-Saens - The Swan:

Rossini - The Thieving Magpie:

I also enjoy the music of Ennio Morricone. He is more famous for his film scores of course but would any of you consider these pieces modern classical music?

Yes I love Profokiev.
He had so many different styles as well. Many of his famous pieces sound like they could have been written by completely different composers.

I like Wagner too.

I also like a piece of music called Time Forward by Georgy Sviridov.

My favourite composer though if I had to pick one would be Ennio Morricone. I could just listen to his music until the end of time and never tire of it.

Other film composers I rate highly are Roy Budd, John Barry, and John Murphy.
