It's not a shallow opinion, it's a FACT that Kinnock's image worked against him. I didn't say that was right. I am a baldie, so I'm hardly likely to be baldist myself, but the fact remains that we haven't had a bald prime minister in a very, very long time. During the TV era, image has become more and more important, which is why a Blair lookalike like Cameron was far more electable than Iain Duncan Smith.
well it is quite a shallow opinion really, whether it's a harsh fact or purely fiction. however, you pointed out two wider issues with his leadership yourself and at that time thatcher won her elections based on her policies over her image in my personal opinion.
