hello, ds. haven't been here for ages, to be honest; so, decided to make a new thead, dedicated to my photographs, as the quality of my shots changed drammatically
Here are my new shots, which I took recently, while walking around Moscow.

Recently, I've bought a new camera - Canon EOS650 with 18-155 lens. So, the quality of my shots has improved a lot.

I'm glad that Moscow is developing especially in terms of pederstrianisation of the city, city transport, despite a general policy of russian state, which I don't support and economic crisis, which made many projects abadoned, like extension of line of the Moscow Metro.

so, here are 2 latest albums with my shots. hope you like them

It's changeable. Like it can be in times -20, but no snow, and then suddenly -4 and a lot of snow, and then snow melts, everything turns into a mud

If you look really carefully in the 3rd pic you can see a gay teenager getting his head kicked in by a group of militants.

Just kidding, cool pics. I'd love to go.

I'm actually kind of Anglophile, living in Moscow for the rest of my life.

Probably, because several users know me and threads I made. So, why not. And do you mean country in general, or me personally?

    Yes welcome back LevaniX.

As always, absolutely brilliant and imaginative photos. We've become used to your high standard of photography! Always refreshing to see your latest shots.

I'm in Estonia later this year and was looking at visiting St Petersburg as it's only 150km from where i am in Estonia, but think maybe Russian drivers might not be too welcoming in seeing a British registered vehicle in their country! :(

Also the Visa cost is crazily expensive.

And you also now need to go to the embassy in either London or Edinburgh to have your fingerprint scanned., before a visa is approved.

Good to see those pictures. I spent some time in Moscow and St Petersburg in 1995. Unlike anywhere else in the world, amazing experience.

Yes, it is. Unlike neibouring countries, which actually don't require visa at all.

Moscow, as you see, changed since then. A lot. It became more like a global city. Not much difference from London

Here's my new set of photos from yesterday and 2 days ago. Some shots include views to South-Western outskirts of Moscow, and a foggy view, some - a very snowy Moscow after a heavy snowfall, Bolshaya Dmitrovka Street. Lots of tractors cleaning up streets.

Today, we had a relatively warm weather here. +2c. However, snow is melting, and it was too wet on the street and weather was generally quite dull and cloudy. Anyway, it was a chance to take shots, as I don't want to take shots at cold temperatures, which actually affect equipment, I suppose(<0c)

In this set Presnya and Arbat districts are included, as well as distant views to embankments and US and UK embassies, which are situated, ironically quite near to each other

I've virtually resigned myself to accepting people who travel like i do aren't really welcome in Russia levan!!

Frustrating though as once in Estonia i will be so near...yet so far! :(

That's only 0.5c less than what it is here in freezing cold UK......and my central heating boiler went bang almost 2 weeks ago. :(

I've been scouring the country for a heating engineer prepared to come and fit me a new one. >:(

    Hey levaniX

You ought to get yourself out to Norilsk. Beautiful scenery and interesting part of Russia to take many photographs. There is something about that place which intrigues me;

Central heating always works here absolutely fine. It's extremely reliable here in Russia and it's always warm inside buildings

In my uni, even at temps like -20с outside, it;s always really hot and really stuffy, because central heating always works.

We are level pegging with you levaniX.

I see you are currently at -1c in Moscow. It's exactly the same right now here in my area of the UK. :(

Could be worse. Those poor folks in Norilsk are down to -35c. :o

Yes, exactly. No wonder actually. However, there are tropic areas in Russia like....Sochi, where it snows rarely, only in mountains
