That's a silly list. Plus Strictly will be in the top 10 for the final.
My lists are better ;-) But yeah it's not fair to have duplicates, ok it's impressive but not fair as other programmes that were successful will be excluded.

Not too bad. Its top soap, but it would have been nice to see it over 6.5m and a higher share. I suspect it'll be up tonight.
Lots of things rated well in the multichannels. Good for YBF, for Porridge, Digging for Britain.
Live At The Apollo: 1.76m! BBC2 Scotland had something else at 10pm but I doubt the rating would be lower than that if it was fully networked. It beat ITV News At Ten with 1.5m.

Sky and Amazon US have today announced a major new original drama series, Britannia, as the first co-production between the two companies. Written by the multi-award-winning Jez Butterworth (Jerusalem, Spectre), the series stars Kelly Reilly (True Detective, Sherlock Holmes), David Morrissey (The Walking Dead, The Hollow Crown), Zoë Wanamaker (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, My Family) and Stanley Weber (Outlander).
The 10-part drama is set in 43AD as the Roman Imperial Army – determined and terrified in equal measure - returns to crush the Celtic heart of Britannia - a mysterious land ruled by wild warrior women and powerful druids who can channel the powerful forces of the underworld. Britannia is shooting on location in Prague and Wales and will air on Sky 1 in the UK and Ireland and be available on Amazon Prime Video in the US in 2017.

Made by Kudos, Apple Tree Yard is a provocative, audacious thriller that puts women’s lives at the heart of a gripping, insightful story about the values we live by and the choices we make.
Married with two grown-up children, Yvonne Carmichael (Emily Watson) lives a contented, conventional suburban life. But her world spirals into chaos, when a chance encounter leads to an impulsive and passionate affair with a charismatic stranger (Ben Chaplin).
Despite all her careful plans to keep her home life and career safe and separate from her affair, fantasy and reality soon begin to overlap and everything she values is put at risk, as a life-changing act of violence leads to a Crown Court trial.

The series, produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd, has been adapted from Len Deighton’s intriguing, alternate history novel of the same name by one of the UK’s most successful writing partnerships - Bafta award-winners Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (SPECTRE, Skyfall, Casino Royale) - who have previously penned five James Bond films including The World Is Not Enough, Casino Royale and Skyfall. Set in Nazi-occupied London, the five-part thriller is based on the premise that the Germans won the Battle of Britain.
Bafta nominee Riley will play lead, British Detective Douglas Archer, who finds himself working under the brutal SS in occupied London. When investigating what appears to be a simple black market murder, 'Archer of the Yard' is dragged into a much darker and treacherous world where the stakes are as high as the ultimate outcome of the war

Moorside - BBC - 2 parts
The drama is made by ITV Studios and the same award-winning team behind the acclaimed Appropriate Adult. Sheridan will star as Julie – chair of the Moorside residents and tenants association and prominent in the desperate search to find Shannon Matthews.
The two-part drama will reveal how a group of women brought their community together in their attempt to find a child who disappeared in their midst. The focus of the drama is on the spirit and determination of the women at the forefront of the campaign and the impact on them when the truth about Shannon's disappearance was finally revealed.

Paul O Grady struggled, he's normally a lot higher than that. Maybe the show just didn't appeal to people. The Graham Norton Story did well for Channel 5. Not quite as strong for Lip Sync Battle though although it might improve with a Celebrity Big Brother lead-in (or Big Brother, whichever it's being scheduled alongside).

A little bit about ITV's The Nightly Show on broadcast.
Thanks ADP.

SSGB - BBC 5 parts

BBC website using the same idea of grabbing tweets to suggest what the public thought. In fairness, these tweets seem more representative.
Paul O'Grady's Favourite Fairy Tales: 1.6m (7.7%)
The Graham Norton Story: 860k (4.4%)
This Is Us: 460k (2.2%)
Lip Sync Battle Christmas Special: 430k (3.2%)
What an awful podcast, they spent more time making in-jokes in their little group than talking about the actual points.
I thought it was a discussion of people working in the sector, not a group of mates down the pub.
Not bad for BBC2 at that time of night.
BIB: Don't you mean higher?
Paul O Grady struggled, he's normally a lot higher than that. Maybe the show just didn't appeal to people. The Graham Norton Story did well for Channel 5. Not quite as strong for Lip Sync Battle though although it might improve with a Celebrity Big Brother lead-in (or Big Brother, whichever it's being scheduled alongside).
:-D
True arron
Commissioned from Tuesday's Child, Pitch Battle (w/t) is a contemporary competition that will feature the best singing groups from across the UK and from all musical styles: pop, rock, folk and gospel to a capella groups and even fishermen’s choirs.
Over the course of five hour-long, heat episodes, they'll compete head-to-head over a series of choral challenges including Pitch Perfect inspired Riff Offs, a soloists challenge and an a capella round. The groups will need to pull out-all-the-stops in this no-chords-barred, sing or be sung-off tournament to win the live final.

It sounds very similar to the Gareth Malone shows in format. But at the same time, another singing show? Really?
So it's Gareth Malone on a Saturday night in a competition?
What's with the sudden increase in talent shows for next year? I really don't think the BBC need something like this.
Apple tree yard, SS GB and Moorside sound really good original dramas.
