That's a bit random even for a Sunday afternoon.
Nothing by ABBA I assume.
I guess as trivia goes this is really well.... trivial:) but no not Abba, it's a sort of haunting chime, sounds like a standard ringtone that comes on a mobile and thought maybe someone may have it.
He must have really liked that particular tone, or was just set in his ways because if I remember correctly his phone got smashed near the end of the second episode. By next time it was back to the same ringtone.
I am having a doh moment - how do I transfer this to my mobile - thank you please
You will need a compatible USB cable which normally doesn't come with the mobile or via blue-tooth, your PC or laptop will need to also have blue-tooth.
CHECK out my posting on the Walander Branagh thread # 303 as it has the details of the ringtone and that it it is soon to be available in the next few weeks.
OK. I’ve looked at that file and frankly, it’s a bit crap. There’s some sort of noise in the background for starters.
If you want the ring-tones clean, I suggest http://www.bratton.plus.com/wallander.html. You will find both tones nice and clean - as long as they are there. I say both because Branagh season 1 (2009) had a slightly different ring-tone to season 2 (2010). They dropped the final twiddle in the 2010 season ring-tone.
The only little problem with these files is that the tones gradually get a bit louder through the "rings" in the file so if you are fussy, I suggest isolating a single ring and then repeating it to get a uniform set of tones or just use the single ring you have isolated.
If anyone can’t do the necessary work on the sound files, I’d be happy to mail a file (may be an MP3 or may be a .wav) if there aren’t too many requests.
Doh. Looks like the page http://www.bratton.plus.com/wallander.html may have gone again because the owner exceeded his bandwidth use. It keeps coming and going. The offer to email the single "ring" stands.
I've had a look at that link, and frankly it's completely crap, as it doesn't work at all!
If you took the time to read above, you'd see that i never claimed that it was professional quality... It's ripped off the actual show via iPlayer.. Hence has the dodgy background hum I wasn't able to remove completely..
I suggest you get a decent copy of the ringtone, isolate a single track and repeat that till the cows come home. Or better still, build a recording studio to re-create your own perfect copy, turn it into a hit single, make a million and retire to the Caribbean..
   Suit yourself. I did say “as long as they are there” since I suspected they might go. There are crap versions on YouTube also. I am offering a clean one gratis that’s good to put in your mobile. If you don’t want it, don’t ask. And doubtless this guy’s site will be back up when he solves his bandwidth issues. In the meantime...
