Will Hannah Barrett get a record deal?

So Hannah came sixth place.
Usually a sixth place contestant doesn't get signed.
But Ella Henderson who came sixth last year has been signed to Sony and will be releasing her debut material in the new year. Maria Lawson who came 8th was also signed to a major label, but that didn't end too well.
Will Hannah be like Ella, get a major recording contract? Or will she end up like most sixth placed contestants, and not be signed and be forgotten about by the end of the series?

A recording contract? I hope not, the very sound of her harsh shouting and growling would make me change station should I be listening to a radio, it's abuse upon one's ears.
The truth is: not many people will buy her music here especially the kind of singer she is, which is why I suggested America for her - probably still won't work but in my opinion it may actually be a better option for her
I agree with you, as far away from these shores as possible.
but I can see her being signed by a rival record company it has happened before
I take it YOU love her vocals then
Oh yes! How did you guess?
It's that Twinkle of yours that finally made me realise the love and passion you have for her
Curious what happens to Luke if he's out next as well.
This is absolutely correct, marks thespot
genuine question
given her style of music is a lot more popular in the US wont there be a much bigger pool of people doing that style of music therefore it would be harder for her to standout ?
I'm fully aware of the talent pool over there (a lot more) as I have links in that neck of the woods so I know the situation very well. But Hannah is still young and since she has been through the process, she stands a decent chance given the right material. It will be tough for her but I think it is better for her to go there than stay here IMO
I totally get where you are coming from & yes you are correct in what you have said. A currently inactive DS member that was a big fan of Hannah, kindly introduced me to a Soul based internet radio station at the start of the competition as he / she wanted me to see the soulful side of Hannah. I gave the station a listen to for a small period of time as it isn't a genre that I would normally listen to. I am sorry to say that a lot of the artists on the station were very similar to each other but they had a lot more talent in them than what Hannah currently has.
Anyhow I googled some of these Soul artists that I had heard & found that they were signed to basic labels & only getting airplay on this internet Soul station. The majority of them hadn't even sold enough CD's / downloads to gain a billboard position either. So yes chances are Hannah will get signed, but it is highly unlikely you will hear her material on any popular radio station.
Most of them, yes!
I take it the current inactive DS member is Jeref, I presume
Solar Radio?
back to greggs
At least she's tried to do something with her life, got up there and given her all. I thought she was very promising. Had a few issues with her voice but the raw talent was there.
Oh, crossed wires,
They say she's working, preparing a sausage roll in deep fried batter.
Back to the day job then....
That is correct on both accounts.
I thought so. He has very similar taste to mine in the R+B and Soul area. I agreed with your posts but what I'm saying is because Hannah had some exposure in the media so she MIGHT get some deal - she'll never enter the pop charts because of the songs that her vocals are suited to. I listen to some soul stations in the USA and know a lot of stuff there. I'm a frequent listener of Solar Radio BTW
