Which do you prefer ?

I prefer Friends but find the Seinfeld characters more likeable

Also , who's like who out of the characters in these shows ?

I'd say its ...

Kramer = Joey

Jerry = Chandler

George = Ross

    I prefer Seinfeld to Friends, but also much prefer Frasier to anything else. (Although I also loved Becker).:cool:

    At the time it was on, I loved friends, and often laughed my way through an episode. However, it was very much of its time, and I think it had a lot to do with my age as well.

    Looking at the two shows now. I think Seinfeld holds up better. But I agree with others who have mentioned Frasier. It's head and shoulders above the rest for me.

    But not, IMHO, the best of all.

    Seinfeld and Frasier are equal for me in terms of quality. They just have different tones.

    Friends is well below either imo.

    I've had to go with Friends simply because I've never even seen Seinfeld. Frasier and also The Fresh Prince are both well above Friends though.

    Um...I respectfully have to disagree with you on this.:eek: Seinfeld is by far the most quotable comedy series. A phrase will most certainly creep into a conversation when one least expects it. :p Btw, it is also a fun way of weeding out the Seinfeld aficionados. ;)

    Seinfeld is also quotable , its just that Friends is more quotable

    Not that there's anything wrong with your opinion

    Friends, I find Jerry Seinfeld too awkward to watch, I'm sure it's funny enough, and I really like julia Louis-Dreyfus, but I didn't find anything Seinfeld said funny because he was so awful an actor.

    Even when he popped up in 30 Rock, he was awful.

    I dont thibk you can really compare them, as they are very different kind of sit cons.

    Friends was more of a soap that had jokes in it. Everyone wanted to see what happened with Ross and Rachael, Chandler and Monica etc, and tou wanted to see what happened to them, with long story arcs. The comedy was just an added extra.

    Seinfeld had the extra layer that friends didnt. It was very episonic, and had individual episodes that will be forever remembered ( eg the Soup Nazi and The Contest). However with Seinfeld it was a bit of a slower burner than Friends, you had to watch a couple of episodes then you would get it, and realise it really was one of the best comedies ever.
