Dreamgirls - I watched it for the first time from start to finish last night. I had seen parts of it before but never in full. I quite enjoyed it.

    Odd Man Out

1947 crime thriller set in Belfast. I had seen it before, many years ago. It wasn't as good as I remembered it being, and I won't be watching it again.

Frozen River [2008]. Director: Courtney Hunt

    6/10

Slight tale of two single mothers getting involved in people smuggling across the Canada-US border to earn enough money to keep things going. Deserved Oscar nomination for lead actress Melissa Leo; slightly less deserved one for Courtney Hunt (as screenwriter).

I re-watched all three of the Naked Gun movies yesterday. I'd seen the first two several times, and I like them both, although the first one is better imo. I'd only seen the third one once, at the cinema, though. A few laughs, but nowhere near as funny as the others.

    The Naked Gun = 8/10
    The Naked Gun 2.5 = 7/10
    Naked Gun 33.33 = 5/10

I think the original Police Squad! series is a lot funnier than any ot the films.

    Warm Bodies 6/10

Even tho it didn't have the same strength of comedy like "Shaun of the dead" & "Zombieland", this film was quite entertaining with some scenes that could shock any Zombie film fanatic, in a sense of What in the almighty f*** !.

I went with a couple of girl-friends to see this at the time and we all fell for Oliver Martinez. I wonder why?

Tommy (1975) Ken Russell meets The Who in the film version of the rock opera. Being Ken Russell movie it's a mad, loud and fun story of the deaf, dumb and blind kid who sure plays a mean pinball.

HIghlights include The Who, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, Elton John and er..the singing talents of Ollie Reed and Jack Nicholson. Not to mention Keith Moon as the perverted Uncle Ernie and Ann Margaret rolling about in baked beans - well it is a Ken Russell movie!

    An American Crime.8/10

Another take on a true story the other being The girl next door.

Re the torture of a young girl by this evil woman Gertrude B and her children. Amazed this woman was ever allowed out of prison...:(.

Good movie and well made albeit the subject was very sad and grim.

Just started watching Total Recall (2012). Was (2012) part of the title or are they just assuming I can't read a calendar? Anyhow, everything I seen, read or been told is that it's a stinker.

I switched off after 30 mins because the Copa Del Rey was on but I intend to go back as I thought the first 30 minutes were excellent.
