Films with the ending as the opening

Someone's comment about Phar Lap got me wondering: Can you think of any film that opens with its ending?

I can think of only two: Quadrophenia and Sunset Boulevard.

Actually, judging by many debates about Jimmy's fate, a lot of people still don't realise that the ending is the opening of Quadrophenia.

    Irreversible.

It ends with its opening too.

Gandhi's start is a huge spoiler.

The Lovely Bones could county as well since you know the main character is already dead and she is telling how it happened

I thought of Irreversible too. although that seems obvious.

I watched The Life of David Gale the other day which sort of starts with the end. Or at least it is a little teaser for the end.

Pulp Fiction with the couple at the coffee table saying to each other 'I love you honey bunny.'

Also, American Beauty, where Kevin Spacey's narration outlines what is going to happen to him from the opening sequence.
He says in 'less than a year I will be dead.'

    Heavenly Creatures
DOA? (the film noir rather than boobie kung-fu chicks :D)
Matrix Reloaded (not quite ending, but definitely third act)
MI:3 (ditto; doesn't it start with a key scene from about halfway through film?)

I have vague memories of Fight Club also opening with start of climatic scene, but may be wrong :)

It does. Although there's a (smart) change in the dialogue to reflect that we've just watched a flashback.

I never had a clue. Seen the film many times and the penny never dropped until someone explained it on here about a year ago! So it took over 30 years before I knew this!!

Thanks :). Glad memory not failing yet. And La Jetee/12 Monkeys is great choice. One of my fave SF films.
