Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes despite the first one Mortal Instruments: City of Bones not being out until August. Divergent sequel Insurgent close to being greenlit despite Divergent not due out until March next year. They must have high hopes.:)
Shame Avatar 2 couldn't make it into the 2015 year of the blockbusters.
I'll believe it when I see it!
Firstly I doubt that they'll release that many Avatar films by 2018 and sesondly it's highly unlikely that people will be obsessed by Avatar by the time the third one comes around. The novelty of the 3D would have worn off by then so it has to rely more on a decent story.
I've still not seen Avatar and have no interest in doing so, but have heard when you take away the 3D and concentrate on the story it's appallingly bad, flimsy and uninteresting.
If this is the case I doubt it will even make it to a fourth film.
Re: Avatar sequels. Three on a yearly-based trot from James Cameron? Can't see that happening given his working methods. Sounds like he just wants to match/outdo LOTR. Nowt wrong with ego in this business generally, but this is a bit much.
Now You See Me 2 announced, btw. The first a surprise hit.

also, nobody has mention The Pact Part 2.....the first one was quite the hit in the uk
Can't wait!
I wonder if there will be a Star Trek XIII?
Hopefully it won't be as long a wait, but I have feeling it will be a while...maybe even a reboot towards the end of this decade.

I read that F&F 7 kicks off a new trilogy, which means we may get film number nine too.
So by 2018 the top 5 all time box office will be..
1.Avatar
2.Avatar
3.Avatar
4.Avatar
5.Titanic (maybe)

That is possibly the most depressing thing I've seen all year
