Yeah, I bought a copy! The album is unusual, the four songs after the first track 'White Flag' are pretty depressing and are all very similar - I was quite tempted to turn off at one point. However it really picks up from tracks 6 to 11 and turns into a more positive and upbeat affair that makes you so glad that she's back! I'd give it 8 out of 10, it's hard to tell if it's better than 'No Angel' yet.

My favorite two solo performances by Dido were "White Flag" and "Life For Rent", but my most favorite performance by Dido was the performance she did with Faithless known as "One Step Too Far". She really did that song justice I reckon!

Her new album is pretty good. Yeah, I can imagine she got brought up quite often, she was probably like the Adele of the early 2000's.

I like the song "Mary's In India" with it's twist in the last line. Of the tracks not made in to singles I like "Sand In My Shoes" and "This Land Is Mine". So far the only album without a deluxe or second version that I know of.

This might sound stupid, but did you take it that Mary died? That was always my interpretation

New album is fantastic and a grower.

Life for rent is a seamless piece of music and includes a tune for every mood.

Does she still sell by the bucketload or has her sales declined? haven't thought about her in years.

I'm no expert on her album sales but i think the answer is she is in decline, well her album sales at least.

Shame really because she is still producing top notch product.

I'm sure someone on DS can fill us both in.

I'm not sure about her sales figures but I really like her and her music and she's great when I need a rest from Madonna and artists of her ilk.

Yes, her sales have massively declined but I'm suspecting she has more than enough money to keep her in comfort for the rest of her life and I'm also suspecting that she's free to bring out stuff without any stress or worry about sales.
