Sadly this isn't a live-action continuation of Firefly (never going to happen), but instead a comic-book one from Dark Horse.

Six issue mini-series, written by Zack Whedon, which starts off nine months after the end of the Serenity film. It may continue with other writers after Z. Whedon has done his initial run.

Issue one is due out on the 29th of January 2014.

    Yay!!!

    Maybe if it's popular they'll do a couple of spin-offs - set before the series and betwixt series and movie (though iiuc they already did that, but I'm sure they could squeeze in a mini-series or two into the gap, any excuse to bring Wash back)

    Already done... Think this latest is the third, maybe fourth, offering...

    ^eek, I'm really outta touch with the goings on with the Firefly comics. Will check out the info-blurb for the new one and if it is carrying on from those previous comics methinks I'll give it a miss and save meself some £$$£$ (of which I have little after going a tad mental during the Villain 3D month - I'm finally fully 3Ded having just picked up the Dial-M one for stupid money, and I don't even care about the villain (is DM even a villiain?), I just hated having an incomplete set. :o
