My inspiration also (even though I practise Karate ) and an icon of the highest order!
I also practice Karate. I joined my local Karate club in 1980 because of Bruce Lee
Saw all the movies so damned often I knew all the words.:o
And took up Karate.
Tragic that he died so young, and that his son died young too.
From your location I would say you are KUGB under Andy Sherry or at least at some point!
A good entertainer but not a proper martial artist!
Yes that was rather cruel, yet rather poetic. Given the film set in which he died on, and the nature of the story concerning the film.
One of my favourite films ever.
He was certainly not up to Bruce's athletic ability and martial arts skill. Bruce's number one priority was his own style of martial arts. He did absolutely everything he could to improve his fitness and skill.
Correct
We started with the KUGB then formed our own association.
legend of a man
I've always fancied learning Karate but never got round to it
And? People born today include: Sir Edmund Hillary, Dame Diana Rigg, Chris Cornell, Natalie Wood, Josh Holloway, Sandra Oh and Carlos Santana.
And, this thread is about one particular person who died on this date.
Ta da!!
And for my next trick....more stating the obvious!
Yes.
Well, to be precise, an ingredient called Equagesic in a headache tablet that he took, caused a swelling of the brain.
I was too young to enter the cinema through the front door but by other means I still went to see this movie every day for a week
Nobody has come close to having the same screen presence that he had in the last 40 years and I doubt that anybody ever will.
Aww man, Sensei Sherry... That name takes me back!
INDIAN ??
Perhaps you mean 'Asian' ?
He was Chinese. I'm a bit puzzled as to why you thought he was Indian.
It might be because he was a celebrity.
He was actually born in San Francisco, so he was actually American !
His father (Lee Hoi Chuen) was a famous Opera star in China.
His mother was half Chinese, half German.
