  How would that work if Amy is in New York? It's a nice thought, but extremely unlikely.

  Well it couldn't be years later as Amy will be old in the 1970/1980's.
  
  
  It's possible I suppose that Amy/Rory their son and possible Grandaughter decide to take a holiday in England in the 1970's and end up staying at the House Amy's parents won't buy for another 20 odd years but it seems unlikely
