EXCLUSIVE: Eight characters to exit 'Hollyoaks' after shake-up
NEW 'Hollyoaks' producer Jamie Rollings has confirmed that EIGHT characters will be exiting in the coming months.
Actors John Omole, Steven Roberts, David Kennedy and Ayden Callaghan will all exit at the end of there current contracts, whilst actresses Tamara Wall, Lizzie Roper and Gemma Merna will all be departing aswell.
Gemma Merna, who plays Carmel McQueen, confirmed her exit to DigitalSpy saying "I've had a great 7 years playing ditzy Carmel who has been a blessing to play. I feel like the time is right to try something new in my life but I will be sad to leave Carmel behind after growing attached beyond belief to the character".
John Omole and Steven Roberts who play Vincent Elegbra and George Smith have already filmed there final scenes to air in February. Tamara Wall films her final scenes as Grace Black next week with her exit scenes airing in early April.
Gemma, who will continue filming her role up until May has confirmed her exit will air around July time.

Chris Fountain is to return to the role that made him famous, DigitalSpy can confirm.
Justin Burton will make his return in March after splitting from his wife. He realises he has priorities in the village and decides now's the time to play father to Charlie.
Chris will begin filming with the show next week.
Hollyoaks producer James Rollings commented "Chris Fountain is an exceptinal actor and there is so much left of Justin's story to tell. The whole cast and crew are delighted that Chris and Justin is returning".
His return comes just days after it was announced that characters including Joe Roscoe, Carmel McQueen and Sam Lomax would be departing.

Sonny's return to the Village causes ruptions to flare especially when Carmel uses it as a trump card against Theresa. Theresa flirts with Sonny but doesn't get the reaction she expcted and is left humilated when Sonny later makes a pass at a shocked Holly. Theresa and Carmel's fued continues to esculate leaving Jim out in the cold- but what will he do when Carmel let's slip a dangerous family secret?
Robbie and Finn continue to taunt and tease John Paul leaving the teacher at a loss for words at how he can be scared of two children. John Paul later pays a visit to Ste and the pair argue when John Paul takes his anger out on him by slamming Doug. When Robbie witnesses Ste punching John Paul after one comment too much will Robbie use this information to further tease his teacher?
Meanwhile, pregnant Cindy is convinced that Dirk is having an affair on her with Frankie when she spots the two hugging, Joe and Lindsey make a return to Hollyoaks leaving Sinead fuming and there's a shock for Trevor when Grace reveals she is in love with him.
