I really hope it's a US label deal or something to show she has some financial security in her career.

It looks like back in 2010 when Alex started the original second album she still had Roc Nation on board with the production...

Sean Garrett signed a deal with them and then revealed he was working with Alex in this article:
    http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/the-juice/953218/sean-garrett-nicki-minajs-failed-single-was-out-of-my-control

Then, Sandy Vee (who together with StarGate produced Firework, S&M, Only Girl etc) also confirmed he was working with her. StarGate are business partners with Jay-Z and they have their own section of Roc Nation called StarRoc which Alexis Jordan is signed to. Alex definitely worked with him as well:

I definitely think some strange weird stuff happened between the end of Overcome in 2010 and then in 2011. I'm now 90% certain that Alex was affiliated with Roc Nation in some way, the Sugababes who definitely were signed to them, worked with the same people as Alex on Sweet 7 (Ne-Yo, StarGate, Bruno Mars etc) and I remember they said on Radio 1 in 2009 that they'd heard some of her new music (Overcome). Also Rita Ora and Alex were interviewed at some event together and Alex said she's known her "for ages"....since Rita was signed to Roc in 2009, which was when Alex was recording Overcome it must have been from then...

Something fishy happened in 2011 because it doesn't look like she's affiliated with them any more, it's all very weird because she was in full swing with that cancelled album until the plug was pulled for some reason...

I hope she can get that kind of backing back again because she needs some weight thrown behind her, and RCA UK alone just don't have that.

All of this depresses me knowing that by now she could have been known all over the US if it had all gone to plan!

I actually found the article in Billboard Magazine which confirms that Jay Brown and Jay-Z of Roc Nation co-executive produced Overcome with Simon.....she had a major backing with Overcome but somewhere along the line that was lost...so yeah it saddens me too...

But there's no reason why she couldn't get it again. I just hope this news she is ready to say actually is something big and not a complete non-event.

This. she slipped through the net at some point. I pray she fixed it. Maybe she has (ie NY meetings). If she was uk only the meeting would be in London no?

The Sats reached #1 with 114k sold even after their album and last 2 singles flopped

    Alex can crawl up again

The Saturdays had good radio support - number 6 in the airplay chart. If she doesn't get radio behind her then she'll flop.

That's why SWY did so well, it topped the airplay chart IIRC. And Alex was the #1 artist for airplay in 2010 as well...

The radio stations have to be on board for her to do well, as LIG showed.

OMG. 114k with that MESS. I love them but that is dire. And I'm not on about the commercial performance.

Oh wow, nice, I'm not a huge fan of The Sats, but they do deserve a #1 and the song's catchy.

I'm not sure. Those concerts are running for only 4 days. It just sounds like another one of those bookings she does in summer. But I'm concerned that she's doing those sorts of things in June... I was hoping that she'd be readying some music by then...

Oh well I guess its good promo before new music. Leon's is also doing a Royal Albert Hall set so it's great that people will get the chance to see them in such a good venue.
