The Grey - Sky Movies. 7.5/10 I wasn't sure about the premise of this one but it held my attention in the end. It's not exactly light and fluffy though. Probably wouldn't watch it again.

Didn't quite get the title. Assumed it was referring to the Alpha Wolf but that seemed to be black to me and wasn't really in it much other than by implication. I can only guess it had another meaning that escaped me. The shining eye effect of the wolf pack was pretty rubbish.

Slient Witness - looks like a made-for-tv effort. Standard courtroom drama. What happened to Anne Heche? 7/10

You're very generous Ginger Nut, about The Grey. 1/10 for me. Wolves munch 7 people one by one?! I got so bored that kept hoping they'd hurry up and munch them a lot faster :D

About Schmidt 8/10 but somewhat depressing,

Possibly. I can't say I was exactly rooting for the survivors.

    Batman & Robin.
I haven't seen this for years, like 10, and omg it's just so bad. The worse Batman ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
1/10 (the 1 being that the cheesy one-liners are pretty funny)

    Django Unchained 7/10

Foxx lacks charisma, the story is meandering, many of the characters are under developed, and I found quite a lot of the direction and cinematography a bit clunky.

That makes it sound like I hated it. I didn't. It's good, but not nearly as good as I was hoping it would be. It's been touted as Tarrantino's best film since Pulp Fiction but I prefer several other Tarrantino films.

Just watched Django Unchained again and I have to admit I was overly critical. I'd actually give it 8.5/10.

I still think Foxx lacks charisma though.

extremely loud & incredibly close - I seem to be in the minority in that I didn't find Thomas Horns performance extremely irritating & incredibly annoying, rather I thought he was brilliant in an emotional narrative set against a 9/11 backdrop.

Oh, and Max von Sydow was brilliant , acting without dialogue is a hard act .....7/10

    Psycho [1960]. Director: Alfred Hitchcock

    9/10

Over 30 years since I last watched this. It still holds up splendidly even though I knew what's coming.

    ***********

    Ironclad [2011]. Director: Jonathan English

    7/10

King John vs the Barons post-Magna Carta. Lots of fighting with naff CGI blood. Surprisingly good cast: Brian Cox, Derek Jacobi, James Purefoy, Jason Flemyng, Mackenzie Crook and American Paul Giametti hamming it up as King John.

    V/H/S (2012)

Not bad for presumably a very low budget film but, unless you're a 'found-footage' fan, I wouldn't particularly recommend it.

Incoherent BS. Liam Neeson is another who won't say no.

Seven Psychopaths. Some good performances, but a bit of a mess. 6/10.
