I don't think it was a great episode, but still enjoyed it. I liked the confusion at the end. But of course there should be no romance, unless it is the very last episode of the very last series. Same with Miranda and Gary, IMO.
Nice to see Tom Ward in something other than Silent Witness. So that's two new programmes for him this year Dr Who and now this. Has he left Silent Witness without having a romp with Nikki??
Any illusion of Paradise was shattered, when depending on where was the sun in relation to the camera whilst they were filming at the mill, there could be seen, thousands of small flies in the air.

He has left Silent Witness. I don't think we're going to see him go, just a reference at the start of the series which is starting shortly.

Dr Who was on last year, he said, pedantically.:p
There's an element of Jonathan Creek in the reveal. But that's fine by me. Both shows are great fun.:)
I think this is just lovely light entertainment. Nothing taxing, nothing serious (other than a very nuanced reference to slavery and its consequences), lovely scenery, nice people, reasonable story.
But best of all, the lizard is back and with an enhanced role!!
Good fun, guessed there was a tunnel, didn't have a clue about the rest of it though. Slow and steady. by the end of the series, I should be able to get the killer straight away
It was a great detective story reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes and the character relationships are all well handled especially the glances in the background or the asides. There are some good actors in this and well directed and edited.

i'm not sure it was reminiscent of Sherlock Homes, i thought it was more like Poirot with the way everyone was gathered together for the reveal (tonight was the first one i've seen, do they do that every week?)
It's not, it's filmed in Guadeloupe (and yes I did need to google to get the correct spelling ), it's an overseas region of France
You are right, so you can take it as 100%!:) When I lived in France friends went there on holidays and didn't even need to bring a passport. It's counted as part of France (however as a result of terrorism you might need a passport now).

Columbo always did this as well, as did the first two Pink Panther films. It's a classic Cluedo summing up.
Thought it was a bit fluffy, but the ending did catch me out and I felt sorry for the brother and sister at the end. I thought the guy who played the killer brother was nice on the eye
I think they have "softened" the character up too much, he now has a softer haircut and also did you notice he has replaced his briefcase with a slightly different one ie its more a leather holdall, I found that he did not have as much "quirkisims (sic)" as he had in the last series, I hope the earlier person comes back. I am just finding it a bit too normal compared to the last series,

Loved the bit about the blind date at the end, hehehe
- Looking forward to next week.

Knew someone would pick me up on the Dr Who bit, there's always someone!!!!
We may have cheered slightly when the lizard appeared
Lovely stuff, exactly what I want to watch on a cold winter's night winding down after work
Absolutely.
Guadeloupe looks gorgeous (even with the flies!).
HAHA! I did a little 'hurrah!' when the lizard came on!
Shush, twit.
Good one

The girl who played the murder victim's young girlfriend was rather nice too

Am I the only one who thinks Fidel is cute?
Me too.....
They both do feel something for each other......
