It's one of the ugliest and classless things I've ever seen. It's her body and she can do what she wants with it, but I do think those tattoos are totally horrendous.

It's revolting....it's like something a B-grade porn star would get done.

...and is that something that you're qualified in judging?

I look at that picture and wonder what kind of modesty does she think she's retaining by the choice of underwear ?

Well nadine took headlines with her pregnancy lately, maybe cheryl was getting desperate because she has become somewhat irrelevant?

Is there any reason why she published such a shot?

Also kids are being gassed in syria, any reason why cheryl's ass is a priority news item?

Any reason you're posting on a showbiz forum rather than out there helping the kids in Syria?

All those wrinklies with tats in 30+ years time probably means it's not going to be that big a deal.

Aesthetically seems a bit naff, but YMMV.

The only thought that popped into my head was clearly ms c can't appreciate it (except in a mirror), so who's the (un)lucky person who has to gaze upon that image whilst in the throes of carnal desire? :D

it's in the 'femail' section of the paper and far removed from front page headlines so you'd kind of have to go looking for it if you particularly wanted to be outraged ..

I hate tattoos anyway but this one is particularly vile and if she's already having tattoos to cover previous ones then I would suggest she's maybe a bit too fickle for a horrific monster like that on her arse. In those pictures on the final tour, it just looks like half of her body is disfigured because it's so big

As I've said before, I understand that I'm in a minority these days because I don't have one but I am totally happy with that.

I havent studied the tatt in detail but surely she would have had to have had a naked bum at some point? Which leads me to wonder just what else the tattooist may have seen. :o

I'm wondering what would have happened if she needed to fart, if she clenched up it could have wrecked the whole thing so would she let rip in his face or what.

I'm guessing some sort of garden enthusiast who dreams of shagging some sort of mystical being who appeared in his rose bushes on a full moon after he fertilized the ground himself...

I don't know why I'm entertaining your stupid ass comment, but here goes... maybe the reason I'm posting here is because I want to?

.Furthermore, you know nothing about what I've done to try to help the Syrian kids. Unless you know that I'm doing nothing, keep it cute and stay mute.

I love it! A guy with bee stripes tattooed on this mister would do as well

I'm with you. I absolutely hate tattoos and always have but this one is just hideous beyond words. She's a good looking woman and I just can not begin to understand why she's done that to herself.

Why can't she just pretend she is another race like respectable pop star royalty?
I will always be here to water her roses for her when she's on holiday.

I think it looks hot. I love girls with tattoos.

However she needs to extend it further up her back otherwise the placement is all wrong.

Im a guy with a lot of tattoos and while i dont have to defend the art and i dont mind if people hate them i do find the "what will it look like in 30 years time" comments to be a bit silly. No one looks like they did 30 years ago. When im 75 i will be worrying about not peeing the bed and hoping im still a fully functioning human being. If my tattoos look poor on my saggy skin thats fine cos saggy skin aint all that anyway. I can live with it., im sure she can too.

@ Cantona07 - but don't you worry you will tire of seeing the same design every day for the rest of your life? Taste changes so much over a lifetime. A tattoo the size of Cheryl's would be so much work to remove, if she hated it in 5 years.

Thank goodness. If I look at my wedding photos from 1978 I look a complete tit!

Luckily, my hair style and the suit I was wearing weren't permanent features and they've changed with the times.

Fashions change. Tattoos are a fashion, but they're permanent.

But thats life. You make decisions and live with them. Im 34 now and i have a full sleeve down one arm and 6 tattoos on the other. I LOVE them. At the risk of being silly they are a part of me. I have a tattoo on both hands. It hasnt held me back one iota. I hold down a pretty good job.

Even already i look back on them and remember how and why i got them. Its a cool thing for me.When im 75 and they may be all blotchy or whatever i will still look on them fondly and remember where i was and why i got them done. Its a nice thing.

I dont ask for your approval and im sure Cheryl Cole doesnt either but its a personal choice. My closest mates dont like tattoos and say "he's off again" when i go to get one. My last girlfriend rolled her eyes a bit but quite liked them. Its ok. Its ok to dislike them and say its not for you. Its pretty harsh to judge someone by them though.

They are a fashion for some people.

I got my first tattoo in 1998. I dont think i was following fashion back then.

You have to decide for yourself how much you want a tattoo and of course they are permanent.

As thick as people make out this girl is, im sure she knows just how permanent it is. Also given that she makes money from being considered hot and having a good body i have no doubt she has thought about it more than most.

My only prob with Cheryl's is that while it's clearly well executed, it's so poorly designed. I love good body art but that tattoo is so wooden and graceless, no flow, nothing remotely organic about it.
