X Factor divas duel: It's Chris Maloney v Rylan Clark in the battle of the drama queens
More: http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/x-factor-divas-duel-its-1440665
Chris is upset at having no contact with his mentor all week. From what Rylan says of Nicole's absence he's been very nice and understanding about her, why can't Chris fathom Gary has other commitments?
I can reveal the two singers have become embroiled in a series of increasingly hostile arguments over the past five weeks, with relations between the pair now so strained, they refuse to be in the same room.
Guys – it’s just a singing competition, remember?
Says my mole: “Christopher has been really bugging Rylan backstage – and Chris isn’t everyone else’s favourite contestant either.
"The two of them have really clashed over the past week, culminating in a massive fight.
“A lot was said and a few choice swear words bandied around.
"They don’t want to be anywhere near each other and are refusing to share the contestants’ communal dressing room.
“Chris can come across as arrogant and some of the other contestants think he’s fake and puts an act on for the cameras.”

At least Rylan is among supporters backstage. Apparently everyone likes him. no one likes Chris.
:D:D
What storey will they invent next?
Barlow looks completely disinterestersed when Christopher sings.
I am a fan of Rylan. He is the reason I am still watching this dire series of X Factor.
I think Rylan is smarter than Chris, so I can imagine some wonderfully cutting remarks, which I suppose suggests from me he can't be a very nice man.
I'm sure Rylan defends himself and surely that's reasonable. I wonder if Chris sees Rylan as his biggest fly in his ointment as regards headline grabbing?
Come what may, I believe Rylan will have a more successful career doing whatever after X Factor than Chris.
Rylan seems a genuine and nice guy and transmits that very well. Christopher has a 'side' to him that even comes over on TV. I don't like to see visible desperation.
I really enjoy it when people are clearly having fun.
I wasn't a fan of Rylan at the start, but he's handled himself on the show with real dignity in the face of Gary's dislike, and he is definitely entertaining. Gary obviously isn't bothered with Chris or he would be giving him different songs. I think he knows he won't win the record contract so he's giving him songs for the cruise ships he'll be singing on afterwards.
Although many don't like to see Rylan virtually collapse with disbelief and over the top behaviour every stage he has gone through during his X Factor journey, for me it shows he is intrinsically a humble man. He is genuinely shocked and delighted he's been popular enough for people to keep him in.
Of course he wants fame and all this may bring to him, but he shouldn't be condemned for that. I know you, jackbell, aren't condemning him, it's for those who may read this who are condemning him for his fame whoring. I say he's as honest as the day is long: what you see is what you get with Rylan. I also read he speaks with Lucy Spraggan every day, so he's a loyal friend too.
If either turned up performing nearby wherever I was I'd make the effort to go and see Rylan, not Chris.
I heartily agree Rylan has handled himself with dignity in the face of that Goliath Gary Barlow.
I'd be surprised after X Factor is long gone for both and confidentiality contracts are over if Rylan ever talked down about the opportunities X Factor gave him. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris did. All this has to be waited for to see, of course. Pure speculation on my part.

I agree. I was someone who was critical of the decision to put Rylan through and I still believe she shouldn't really be on the live shows. However, that isn't his fault and he's handled himself brilliantly against the criticism and digs against him. For all his flamboyance, I think Rylan is a sensitive little soul who has built the Rylan character to protect the chubby, bullied little kid that he was.
He's someone who, like Chico before him, appears to be embracing the whole experience and using it as a step up.
Couldn't have put it better myself.
I hope Rylan stays tonight, but who can tell.
A very insightful post. Thank you.
:cool::cool::cool:
Nicole has attended her grandmothers funeral - of course Rylan will be understanding about it
However I can understand Chris being annoyed if Gary seems to be putting his solo tour first - even though they are with the vocal coaches/choreographers during the week, not the mentors. He's probably miffed that Gary isn't answering his mobile
The same could be said about Christopher. Not once has he retaliated back at Tulisa and Louis when they rip him to shreds every week. In fact, some would say Rylan's 'back chat' to Gary, who is there to Judge him is very rude and disrespectful....
Christopher, in my opinion is the one handling himself with Dignity.
Can you imagine him calling Tulisa and Louis a pair of bores?!....I can't.
We can't be hearing the same thing obviously. In all of Rylans remarks to Gary I certainly don't see any malice at all. Tongue in cheek possibly, malice no.
Yes, I can imagine Chris calling Tulisa and Louis a pair of bores........behind there backs, like the sneakly devil he appears to be.
:)
If Rylan was a diva he wouldn't have been so understanding of Nicole's loss — he would have been demanding all kinds of everything as compensation for no Nicole. And as for Chris being miffed at Gary's absence I can almost feel the earth vibrating with his implosion and I'm not even present on the British Isles!
Rylan's backchat with Gary is all part of the X Factor pantomime and Rylan and Gary are fulfilling their roles in the proceedings — Rylan is doing better than the production team imagined he would be able to, I believe.
I will laugh like a drain if Christopher comes out with his usual clichés tonight — I'm doing me best, etc. — if the judges other than Gary tear him to shreds again tonight. Christopher really has morphed into the pantomime horse.
I don't expect Christopher to leave this weekend if leaks about votes are correct. I do expect, if Rylan leaves, Rylan will leave with the greatest charm and will provide a memorable turn tonight.
This — I agree!
Why?
