looking at buying an iphone 4 on gumtree, it is advertised as one year old, and on the EE network, can the phone be unlocked to be used on vodafone ? :confused:

    depends if the phone is still within the contract period or not.
    if it is out of contract then the current owner can contact EE to have it unlocked.

    buying mobile phones on gumtree is a dodgy business unfortunately. you never know if you are buying a stolen phone or if you get hit with the insurance scam that results in the phone getting blacklisted.
