    Unser Song für Malmö - 3.24m (10.4%)
    http://www.daserste.de/programm/quoten.asp

    2008 - 3.47m (11%)
    2010 - 2.5m (14.6%)
    2011 - 3.25m (10.1%)
    2012 - 2.19m (6.9%)

Very poor yet again. Even the news bulletin prior got better ratings.

It's a shame because it was a great show even if the songs weren't great. It seems that Germans aren't really interested in NF's.

The numbers seem reasonable to me - it's a big improvement over 2012 and back to 2011 levels, which is a good high water mark considering it was the year they hosted it.

2m-3m for a country of 82m people is quite poor.

Yes, but a music event like this is always going to be fairly niche. The Voice of Germany only gets around 4m, and that's much more high profile.

Yeah, the improvement on USFB is the key bit. If they matched the result from Lena's victory and the USFD after i doubt they'll be complaining. They wanted that at the very least. Plus that means with 800k votes, there's about 20-25% of those watching who voted, which is better than our shows.

Are the Germans rather apathetic to TV in general, a bit like the Aussie's (a country of 22 million and it's a massive news story if 2m tune in)??

Interesting how the ratings seem to be falling from one evening to the next.

Newspaper/media sites, official ratings sites etc. It can be quite hit and miss though.

All the sanremo ratings are from www.tvblog.it

3.24m poor? With a 10 rating? Thats very good! Excellent almost.

3.24m for a country of 82m isn't excellent, far from it. That 10% share is also awful as it means 90% of the audience watched something else.

The show was beaten by several other programmes. It was a big dissapointment for ESC supporters.

Rette die Million! (The Million Pound Drop Germany) won the ratings for the day with 4.8 million viewers. It seems that Germany was on the whole divided by choice, but it was Valentine's Day.

    3.24m is 10% of 32.4m, not 84m, I think it's a good rating.
