Just wondered if anyone had ever come across this? It was made in 1981 and is an animation using puppets aimed at children. At the age of about 4 or 5 a neighbor gave me and my sister a VHS copy of this short film. It still haunts me now, the Pied Piper is designed to look terrifying and the general imagery and music make the film eerie and unsettling. I have linked it below so let me know your thoughts I would be very interested to know

OP, thanks for posting this. My class got shown this at school in our weekly TV room session. Usually watched Words and Pictutes, but I think we got this as a Christmas treat. I love all stop motion animation from that period. I was 9 at the time I saw this one so don't recall being frightened by it, but there is something creepy about The Pied Piper in general (leading kids away).

I will watch these links and probably have a cry at the nostalgia.
