Good news that the government has released a plan for Arqiva to erect masts in no coverage areas -

This isn't exactly new news but it is nice to see the areas they are going to be concentrating on. It would be nice if it could be increased to 99% coverage for the UK. Not sure how likely that is though.

Perhaps they decided that would cost a lot more for little extra benefit.
The areas that they are targeting appear to be places that have no real coverage to speak of. They still exist, my grandparents live in such a place. If you're very lucky you will get a scrap of O2 2G signal but nothing else from the other networks.
Plus those areas are very sparsely populated anyway so there wouldn't be much return income from them.
